Haven Nook School recognizes the fundamental importance of building trust and strong relationships with students. We value young people for who they are and take the time to understand and support their unique aspirations, wellbeing and educational needs. In doing so, we create an environment of respect and belonging. We see each young person from a holistic viewpoint, having awareness of the bigger picture to inform how we work with them.
In recognition of our students’ unique interests, needs and approaches to learning, we provide individualised provision plans and timetables for each young person on roll. These can include the following as required:
SMART Targets
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-Based (SMART) targets.
We collaborate and work with a range of outside agencies, charities and professionals.
We signpost and refer to these external partners when required.
Our SEN Team has a wealth of experience and expertise from both educational and therapeutic backgrounds. We have high aspirations for all students and work collaboratively to enable them to access learning, achieve successful outcomes and work towards their longer term pathways to adulthood.
